The general perception of our people is too much sun exposure will darken your skin color. God forbid if you are born dark, do not even think about the sun! Well, skin color cannot be helped since that’s genetically determined. Soaking the sun is healthcare in its own rights. It’s ok ladies, someone married you, we will find someone who is not as shallow as you are for her also. Get vitamin D through sunshine and Sitting in the sunlight can be harmful but if you know the right times, you will be able to benefit from it without losing too much color.

We do too! Sitting under the fake light, the fluorescent bulbs don’t lift your mood up like a good sunny view. It actually makes you dull. Now at the end of the day, we are humans, not vampires (even they have figured out ways to sit in the sun, thank you, witches). Do not lose your soul, soak in the sun.
When to Sunbathe Without Getting Sun Fried?
An excellent question! Well, the key to healthy sunbathing is the right time of sitting in the sun. Once you figure out the time and duration you’re good to go. A heavy sunblock is also suggested to save you from the “Dark Skin Side Effects”. Dark people, sorry you also need the sun so do not forget the sunscreen.

P.S. Dark Skinned people have to sit for longer times than fair skinned people. Dark skin can take up to 2 hours in comparison to their light-skinned peers.

Mirror Mirror on the wall, give me the sun, reflect it all. Find the place where the sun shines the most in your room and put a mirror there. The reflected rays of the sun will not only brighten your room but also increase your exposure to the sun.
- Open Those Curtains
During the day keep the curtains open. Let those sun rays shine and provide you with the warmth they fill you with. Also, sun rays and their benefits is a plus.
- Color Palette
Light and pastel colors are your best friend. White is the ideal color if you can’t paint everything white. So choose a light palette.
Let’s Step Out!
- Go out
Whenever you can step out and take a walk. Eat one meal outside at least. Working near the window is also a good option.

Sometimes your vitamin D is low even with regular sittings, get help. You never know when you might be needing help. Go visit a doctor!
